The Internet. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

For most of us, the Internet is something we feel we simply cannot live without.

No longer do we have to drive to a library and scroll through cards to find a book that might contain the information we are looking for. With the World Wide Web at our fingertips, all we have to do is type something, anything, into a search engine from wherever we happen to be and voila! Within milliseconds we have the top 10 articles that can answer our question. That’s good!

No longer do predators have to stroll through the streets looking for their next prey. The Internet provides many windows into another person’s world through such things as social mia apps, picture sharing apps, Google Earth maps, etc., which removes the need to be in physical proximity of a predator’s prey to strategize an attack. Many attacks are done in the form of online identity theft. No longer do predators have to pick pockets. All they have to do is pick an online identity. That’s bad!

And just as in every other invention from the printing press to every video medium, the pornography industry has capitalized on the ease in which it can target its prey through the World Wide Web. That’s ugly.

The best thing we can do for ourselves, for our families, and for our culture is to be educated on the dangers of pornography. I’m not talking about a moral issue. I’m talking about a physical altering and society destroying parasite.

Covenant Eyes has a vast library of resources to help understand the damage pornography does to our culture. Check them out by clicking on the banner.
